These holidays I hope to get up to 80% of my research completed. I want to get this much done in order to have enough time in term 3 to put together my actual fundraiser. I am going to try and spend at least one hour of each day researching online and creating my questionaires. By the end of these holidays I hope to have 8/10 pages of my research evidence completed. Some of these pages can be my research on Alzheimer's Disease, research on fundraisers, analysis of a successful and non-successful fundraiser and one of my questionaires.
Online sources will be easy to find but for some of my research I am going to have to rely on information from people that know about Alzheimer's and fundraising. Some of the questions I can put on my questionaire are:
Do you have any personal relationship's with an Alzheimer's Sufferer or carer?
How has Alzheimer's affected your relationship?
How has Alzheimer's affected you?
What have you learnt about yourself as a person after knowing a person who has Alzheimer's?
Do you believe there is a cure out there for Alzheimer's Disease? When asking people these personal questions I have to be careful not to upset them and cross an ethical line. In order to not cross this line I will ask all of the people involved to sign a paper with a statement that explains what the questionaire will involve. If they are unwilling to sign the paper I MUST NOT ask them the questions or talk about the topic.

So far these holidays I haven't done much actual research, but I've been thinking about what I can actually sell for my fundraiser and I've decided on doughnuts and cupcakes. I'm not sure if I'm going to sell anything else just yet. I've saved some websites that I've been using to research a potential charity that specialises in Alzheimer's Disease.

Okay, so the holidays were not a sucess when it comes to the research project. I was too caught up in sleeping and seeing family that the only thing I actually did was bookmark about 5 websites about Alzheimer's Disease..Althought it was not as productive as I had hoped, now that I am back at school I will be more dedicated to sticking to a time plan.
The first part of my time plan is the Alzheimer's research
I am going to get all of the research on Alzheimer's Disease done by Friday week 2. I will also decide on a charity that the funds will go to.
31/8/11 After doing some research and due to the change of seasons I have decided not to go ahead with the school based fundraiser. Instead I am going to create an order from to hand out to colleagues of my parents so that they can place an order for muffins. I believe this is going to be more successful than a school based fundraiser as I was planning on selling hot donuts later in the term. I realised this was a bad idea as the seasons are changing and the weather is warming up. I did some research that proved that foods consumed affect and change a person's termperature. Eating hot food in hot weather is not an appealing sale as no one would want to eat something that will make them more hot than they already are. I believe that muffins will sell well as they are not hold or cold, just mild temperatures. This will be more appealing to potential customers.
